After all the terrible things I have heard about the Jets locker room I would probably avoid Wheeler.

The Hawk's won't target any of those 5 UFA's. Their roster is pretty well set.

Only getting him because he is good and is a veteran presence on Bedard's line

all chicago needs is a goalie but i think they would really work hard to get one once some key names like Shesterkin and Saros are available

I understand the reasoning I just don't think he is the kind of veteran presence we need around Bedard.

Hawks are not looking to barely squeek into the playoffs . Hawks are still in rebuild mode . They want to draft high at least one more year . They will not commit to all these signings . You are not leaving roster spots for the prospects to integrate into NHL

this is not to make the playoffs this is to help bedard out with actual line mates instead of Athanasiou and Hall.

Duchene is the only one of these signings I'd consider but he's probably at that point in his career where he wants to go cup chasing.

Thats what I think as well. I realized like 5 minutes after I posted this that these signings were unrealistic
