God thay Johansen trade really f*cked us. I'm sure we could've at best gotten a fourth roudner.

After all those 1sts from the Avs trades, I feel like this is more reasonable. Could be a steel.

It's good value. The Blues needed a center and Hayes is better/cheaper than anyone they could get on the open market. He'll be a good cultural fit for a locker room that seems to have some strife if nothing else. I'm glad we didn't give up anything for him.

Don't really love the term given his age, especially for a guy that has had trouble staying on the ice. This is also isn't going to move the needle much in terms of making the roster more competitive. But maybe that's not such a bad thing.

That’s crazy. If the jackets are still looking for a center and passed up Hayes at 3.5 for a mere 6th. Gotta think they have another deal in mind.
