I doubt Vancouver does that, given the fact that Bjorkstrand went for a similar price last year, who should hold far more value than purely depth adds.

Didnt realize he had one year left, even still 5 mill is pricey when we can probably sign Clifton for cheap, or promote Simon.

We can afford it. As far as one year stopgaps go he's probably a better option than any UFAs (to keep Nemec in the minors since his performance bonuses could cause trouble with the cap next year)

Could look into paying someone to eat 50%. Considering the cheap price tag here, another 3rd to eat 50% would be cheap.
