Sanheim makes no sense for St. Louis. He’s locked in for 8 years and he isn’t that good (better than Krug, but still). Laughton and Hayes are redundant pieces, so only one should come over and that’s Hayes. If our goal is to gain cap flexibility, the idea of getting Sanheim, Laughton, and Hayes makes no sense for only one big contract moving out.

Yeah I think there was a tweet saying those names could be involved and everyone jumped on it and thought that ALL those pieces were involved. I mean it makes zero sense for the Blues to obtain 4 players of sizeable cap in one trade and only moving out 1 of our contracts. Doug has never done that before.
