NSH likely declines. NSH is already going to the slope of a rebuild and trading Saros is the nuclear button. It doesn't make a ton of sense to trade Saros for DeBrincat if that is the case. Could it work? Yes, but the window of having DeBrincat and Askarov alongside a team that can make a run is incredibly narrow

Would be nice, this is probably the most I'd give up for Saros. As for Konecny, I'd rather they take the 2025 first instead of 2024, but again this reflects the highest I'd go.

You are absolutely right, Askarov will be a player, but he is still 2-3 years out on development. I wouldn't be opposed to Forsberg being in the deal to help stabilize for now, and it would be funny to have two Forsberg's on the same team. The issue comes down to Cat being 28-29 when Askarov likely comes up for his first full-time season. I'm not saying it isn't possible, but the timeline is just awkward. NSH looks like they are gearing up to be kinda bad for a year or two to get high draft picks, get younger and then start making runs as a result, a bunch of prospects and one player who awkwardly fits the timeline just feels bad. That said, I wouldn't be surprised to see Cat come to NSH, but I don't think it will be for Saros.

Daoust, Philippe : would be a very good prospect but is injury prone and has missed a lot of hockey. If he suddenly stop getting injured, could be a real darkhorse. I'd say 6th round pick value
Mandolese, Kevin : not a lot of value but as we saw in his first NHL game, he has a very good frame for the position and he battles hard. I'd say 6th round pick value

cat isnt worth saros 1 for one. not trading a top goalie in the league for a little guy who shoots alot.
