I'd prefer they keep it too because there will be a lot of good players going in that spot but there are reports that Treliving wants to trade that pick. If he does I hope it's for a top six player with money retained so they have more cap to sign even more players in FA.

What reports? I find most (if not all) of them pure garbage. Just guys looking to stay relevant knowing we fans are desperate for anything while we wait for draft & FA. Then we can start critiquing the dumb (or great) moves our gms made 😀

I don't know. They could be true. Have you seen Treliving's trade history? He isn't afraid to trade 1sts for good roster players. And unlike the past GM he does most of his business at the draft and in the summer months. It'd be a waste to trade next year's 1st at next year's trade deadline when its value could be better utilized now.

Leafs have 3 picks this year & prospect pool is decent but needs injection of high end talent; just can’t see him moving it but maybe you are right 🤷🏻

A little hesitant with the D core, but this is honestly probably the best and most realistic put-together roster I've seen on here, ever. We slightly overpay on the Oilers trade, our #1 D, and our best future RHD for a mid-6 player and 3rd pairing D-man would only need to give up 1 and maybe one of our prospects and a mid pick. We could also do better than a 3rd and 7th for Jarnkrok. Other than that pretty well done.
