I don’t want Tampa to overpay for killorn at this stage in his career and I’m not a Colton fan. I understand some of his metrics are good but the eye test is not.

I think Colton to NJ has jumped the shark. There will be plenty of other suitors for him.

Cue NJ fan. Bahl s not available. Stamkos plays on the right when he isn't with Kucherov or on the pp. If Bahl is replaced because NJ won't add him kill the deal. Jeannot wants more ... 1.5 min. Barbashev isn't signing that cheap. He after the playoffs he just had will be asking the 6 range low 4 doesn't get close.

Respectfully, I haven’t heard a single report anywhere outside of random TBL fans on CapFriendly that would suggest NJ would remotely consider trading Bahl for Colton. Not knocking you at all Zibby, just seeing it spoken about like fact on this thread in addition to others.

The Colton being moved stuff has a little bit of smoke, Friedman has openly wondered if TBL is going to trade him. He is also on THW trade list (less significant). Not much but its something I guess. The NJ connection comes from one real throwaway tidbit in an interview with Ryan Novozinsky (NJ.com) where Colton said last summer that he grew up a Devils fan and it would be cool to wear the jersey one day. Again, not much, but “something”?

“Bahl for Colton” on the other hand is basically made up out of thin air haha. If anyone has an actual report with that information please pass along. Bahl was deployed as a top 4 defenseman for NJ during most of the playoff run this year. He will be on a cheap deal with team control the next few years. With Ryan Graves and Damon Severson leaving, NJ’s D core is looking extremely young and non-physical. When one of Luke Hughes, Dougie Hamilton, and Simon Nemec are on the ice for pretty much every minute of every game, a presence like Bahl is very necessary. Not to mention NJ has nothinggg coming down the pipeline with left handed D. Could NJ use a player like Colton on a third line? Sure. Would it be a fun story? Absolutely. But they NEED Kevin Bahl. It is a non starter.

Totally understand why Tampa fans would want him, just like I can understand why they dont have interest in a lot of the players us Devils fans mock in Colton trades like Boqvist, Sharangovich, picks. Thats all fine, thats what we do around here, share our opinions and yell at eachother about how wrong they are lol. Just want to clarify that the “Colton starts with Bahl” thing is very much a fan opinion, not an actual report, cause I’ve seen it presented like its a fact recently.

I dont think its being presented as fact. There are some NJ fans that are desperate for colton and keep putting up trade proposals that dont make sense so some TB fans are putting up what it would cost for colton to go to NJ. Ultimately colton going to NJ does not make sense for either team and the trade proposals should stop but we all know they are not going to. I personally dont normally comment on colton to NJ trades because there is no point, everyone on this site has given there opinion on them and there is no discussion left to be had.

Completely get your point.. it it makes all the sense in the world.. I do think that Tampa will try to go for a two for one with Colton and thought the 2 players on NJ make the most sense for that team.. I’ve thrown other ideas out there with SJ and Chicago and Tampa fans for some reason hold Colton to this ridiculous level that as a fan of 20 years just doesn’t understand and so I thought maybe I was missing something on his value, so if his value really is that high then those are the wishlist players I would want.. don’t care about his hometown honestly.. I really like bahl and McLeod… if his value is more a 2/3 line player leaning towards 3rd line and McLeod has to be part of the trade.. is there a second player to add to the trade?

With the flat cap and him clearly caring about winning (in my opinion the x-factor on Vegas) you think he’ll ask for 6? That’s only being signed by teams that aren’t competing for a cup… if that’s the case then keep the money and put ABB in the top 6.. tampa has never and should never oversign players in JBB regime.

ABB come on now you are crazy dude. He's a 26 yo AHLer sorry he's not Jonathan Marchessault or Carter Verheaghe.
That's a garbage return for Colton.

Don't think this is necessarily true, I'd give Topias Vilén a real good chance at being a fulltime NHLer in a year or two.
With 3 full seasons in the Finnish top flight Vilén should have a every opportunity to battle himself into a 7th D role ahead of Brendan Smith over the course of the next season.

The rest of your comment was 100% spot on.

This is what I’m talking about.. as an actual tampa fan long before the cups… I don’t understand this bandwagon for Colton? Bahl and McLeod for Colton is not even close to garbage.. that would be a win for tampa..

Everyone who doesn't agree with you is a band wagon fan you're a Buffoon and your comments more than prove it.
I had season tickets at the Thunderdome so I have no clue what you're moron a$$ is talking about band wagon. Loved those $99 obstructed view season tickets.( Went to better seats most games.
Colton given 16-19 mpg is a 30+ goal scorer and 55+ point guy.that why
