Canucks pass quiet easily, won't take that much to dump Myers.

His contract is significantly worse than Murray's (cap wise, yes ik the 1 mil salary, but that makes the owner happy, not the GM) who lots of ppl are dumping for a first, I get VAN's pick is higher than BOS's pick, but you're also only moving back ~5 picks

A) Most people are trading back slightly from a late first to an early second in the Toronto deals
B) The GM needs to make the owner happy.
C) The Canucks don't need to move Myers for Cap Space anymore

It's a plausible deal. I think the Canucks would be hopeful of moving Myers for cheaper though.

Too much. We don’t need cap space nearly as much after the OEL buyout. Moving Myers for more space would be a luxury, paying pick 11 to do so doesn’t make sense at all.

A. Idk, I click on a lot of ANA posts where it's either for just the first or BOS first for BOS 2nd (an entire round)
B. They don't need to make the owner happy, they can't make the owner upset... and taking on any "unnecessary" money would make the GM upset unless they get a great return that they can see a "return on investment" (more value back)
C. TOR doesn't *need* to move Murray either, GMs just like having space to play with

The Canucks don't have to move Myers, and if they do they'll just move him to a team that needs to spend cap space but doesn't want to spend money. The most they'll give up is a third round pick

Det only does this not because they want Myers but because they want the pick. 11 OA. It would allow them to get Leonard AND Perreault or something like that. 11 is worth way more to Det in particular. 17OA + a 2nd + cap dump is not only reasonable but if I were Stevey Y I'd jump at the opportunity.
