Description
Per LeBrun it sounds like Hanifin is getting moved. His extension would like be starting around 6 mill, but he's worth it.
The rest are just some of the moves I'd like to see. We need a legit 3rd line and that starts by getting a legit center and sending Granlund packing.

I'd take this for sure. 3rd line should be the focus this offseason imo. Might mix up the goaltending - but overall a good look

I took two big gambles with the goaltending and Puustinen being top 9 ready, but my hope was that the veteran centers could support him on any line he ends up on. I like him on the top line as well. I mean, if Dom Simon worked there Puustinen should too.

Tampa Bay would target POJ and one of Puustinen, Poehling or O'Connor in a deal for Colton

I have no issues with Puustinen being where he is. I would have one of Puustinen or Nylander in the top 6. The Zucker/Malkin/Nylander line looked really good in the brief time they were together last season. I think a young guy should be thrown up there to give better depth to the forward group.

I know I've given my Vejmelka opinion a lot on this site haha - it's definitely a giant gamble. But I didn't want to nitpick too much. You gave up very little for him though and I would assume Varlamov would start anyways. It's really a shame about that Carter contract. If you could spend that money on a goalie we would be in such a good spot haha

If that were the case I'd have to decline and go free agent hunting. We need their cheap contracts to fill out our roster as well. It will be interesting to see what they ultimately get for him. They have zero leverage right now.

Yah, that Carter contract takes away just enough cap to make everything difficult. I keep picking Vejmelka because of his growth on a really bad team. He is always a positive GSAx out-performing the bad team in front of him. I think in a split goalie scenario like the one above he would do well.

Wouldn't say zero leverage. He's a really good player. If Tampa is forced to trade him, pretty sure they'll have multiple offers to choose from. There's also a chance he takes a one year, team friendly deal for like $3m and waits til the cap goes up next year to cash in.

It really does.

To be fair though - Vejmelka's GSAx the season before this was one of the worst in the entire league on both MoneyPuck and Evolving Hockey. Even this season, Evolving Hockey had him lower than Desmith

The free agent market being trash definitely helps, but most of the contending teams are in similar spots where they don't want to trade young cheap useful players. That's a good point on him taking a short deal to cash in later.

It was, but the big jump was good to see. He's got good size too. It's a gamble, but I think all goaltending is unless you are a Russian in the East Conf.

To each their own on that one I guess haha.

Yeah haha - can always count on Sorokin, Vas, and Shesterkin. I'd add Helle and Saros in there too, Maybe even Ullmark. Outside of them there's always some type of risk. Personally I'd just try to mitigate it as much as possible and play the best odds.

He spent most of the season with Paul and how are you keeping him? You don't have space.

No he didn't Paul spent until early January with Killorn and Stamkos . Until Cirelli was back up to speed. Colton mostly played with Bellemare/Maroon/Namestnikov go check the shift charts on the games.

Sign him around 3 Jeannot around 2 dump Myers and Seabrook with whatever picks it takes to AZ, so you can accrue cap space. Then fill the roster with 900k>contracts.
Edit opps this was supposed to be an edit.
