Sandin never had success on the right side. Luke Schenn at 800k would be a potential good add. Of course Sandin has WAY higher upside, but I believe that will be on the left side.

Yeah, it's inexperience in net but seems like spending tons on a goalie isn't maximizing your cap space.

Sandin-Schenn bottom pair would be a huge upgrade from Gio-Sandin

Getting Mccann instead of Zacha imo is better, and Idk but I think there'd be better value contracts than Laughton at 3 mil, so shaving cap on those 2 would help bolster the goaltending, pushing Thompson to backup and getting a better starter. I also think there's some recency bias for Verhaeghe and Marchessault, and though I'd be open to keeping the Conn Smyth winner around, there might be better ways of spending the 4+ mil Verhaeghe's getting.

Goalie is tricky! And you have to have 2 good goalies with a decent 3rd tucked away.
Vegas had Hill Quick Lehner brossoit Thompson this year to get to the cup! So maybe not 8-10 mil on your #1 goalie but 6-7 on a plus starter and solid backup would be wise! (Bruins and the Wild and Vegas all come to mind who had 2 not elite but very good goalies)

It's a crime that your goalie isn't Sorokin, at only 4 mil...

That d is brutal, leaving way too much value on the table by huge caps on this team
