Why is always Marner to Calgary?

We dont need marner, already have a similar player in Huberdeau. This trade is pretty bad for cgy value wise too

When was Huby and Selke ever mentioned in the same sentence? Compare their first 6 years. Marner is almost 50 points over a PPG career and 33rd all-time career PPG. Huberdeau’s 115 point season sure looks like an anomaly. He’s nowhere near the leaderboard for career PPG with 668 points in 750 games. Marner has already had more 90+ point seasons than him and more PPG+ seasons even though he’s 26 and Hubby is 30.

don't matter, they have a similar play style, both being play makers. We don't need another 10 mill winger. Plus we are giving up our 1C, Huby-Kadri-Marner is a good line, but our team forward depth goes down

Not saying its a good deal or not. am saying Marner and Huby are not close in playing styles or players. Huby had a career year at the same time EVERY Florida player did. Duclair, Reinhart, Marchment Ekblad, Bennet, Lundell, Weegar, etc. all had career highs in points. I’d suspect you’ll see Huby put up around 70 points moving forward with a lesser supporting cast. Don’t get me wrong, the Flames have some very nice two way forwards but none have hit PPG consistently throughout their careers. Marner has been a PPG+ player each of the last 5 years, averaging over 100 points per 82 games in each of the last 3. While being recognized as one of the leagues best defensive forwards.

Ok so the 2024 first and Robertson might get you Laughton although I would suspect it would the 2023 first. Either way, Brodie and Villeneuve isn't getting you TK's used jock strap let alone him. Epic fail.
