Yzerman would do something around that islanders 2023 1st round pick (17th overall pick)+Vancouvers 2023 2nd round pick (43rd overall pick+One of Kubalik/Berggren+Hanas Since Detroit is a divisional foe and likely top destination for Cat. they'd naturally add a little bit more.

I don't see the Canes going after Debrincat, but given the pieces involved, and depending on the extension, I don't hate it. It's a late 1st and Heimosalmi is good but he's down the pecking order a bit. This is assuming they move on from Teuvo and that is not clear at this point.

I agree but cat isn’t resigning with them so they got one year left for him. I wouldn’t blame them for turning down a Reinhart trade but they aren’t too far off in skill sets and age. And Reinhart will be the cheaper contract.
