I think Scheifele has gotten a bad rep around the league. Whether it's deserved or not I truly believe with a fresh start he would go right back to being a legit #1 center. His defense isn't bad

Ya hard to say, I think the Canes would be willing to part with Necas especially if they are trying to get some more high end offense in their lineup. I think there will be a lot of suiters for Sheif and Carolina makes a lot of sense

There are plenty of measurements for how the league measures defense. That are available. The athletic, EV, etc, etc all have their metrics and Scheifele is way down there

Sheif has 201 points in 204 games in his last three seasons. That's more points per game than Aho. If you aren't giving up a very late first and Necas for that, then there is no way to bring in high end talent to your team

Don't see LA being a legit target for Connor Hellebuyck. Sounds like they're heavily pursuing PLD and they sure as heck can't afford both.

Pretty sure Dubois, Scheifele and Helle are traded with extensions in place. Nobody's gonna trade for them if they aren't sure to get more than 1 season.
In that case, Vilardi + for him would make sense imo.
