Stalock was really good on a chit team imagine him with a good team.... schmid gets to take over full time next year... hes proven he can be that goalie... but needs to get game stamina built up. He looked tired in that second playoff series. And we trade stalock at deadline for making him look like a beast.

This offseason would be a disaster for so many reasons.

Tell me how so... the swiss line is big bodied and crashing the net with massive bahl and massive hamilton backing them up at the blue line slap shots away tip drill all day... then haula wins the faceoff with j and l pushing the pace mercer and marino can also create making impossible for any teams second unit to stop the shots on net. Then you have siegenthaler killing every penalty with durzi/palat/sharagovich. Not to mention mmcleod and bastian forming the second line with hamilton and marino. And the pp line would be deadly

The move for Durzi and Madden doesn’t make any sense. It’s just spare parts going their way, and wouldn’t be accepted. Durzi is serviceae, and Tyler Madden wouldn’t even make the NHL roster.

you gave up more in assets for one year of Helle than Luongo cost, when he had a long term deal he was already in. There’s no precedent for that high of a cost, let alone giving up our top line winger, a potential top 6 forward, our starting goalie, and a goalie prospect with an NHL ceiling. Plus the money that both players would be owed, if we even retain them, would be absolutely not worth it considering their age and likely high asking prices in a year.

Gritsyuk has a high enough ceiling as a goalscorer, and is a future ELC contract during the devils championship window, and bringing in two mid players who’s equivalent’s can probably just be found in UFA, or who’s ice time could be given to guys like Holtz.

McLeod wouldn’t go long term at 2 after the season he just had. Meier and Sharangovich are missing probablt a million in AAV.
The Stalock signing seems pointless when we know Fitz is comfortable rolling Schmid and VV in net for 23-24 and actually plans to do that instead of making a move.
