Agreed on the part where i doubt the Blues and Oilers can make it work with the Oilers lack of cap space, I know that's what Friedman mentioned anyways. We shall see what happens this summer if Parayko is moved or not.

If what they say are true, This could be one of the most active drafts in history as far as trades are concerned. A lot of bodies could be moved.

Yeah, I genuinely think there will be a lot of trades across both days since even some of the second round picks are potential game changers.

Yup just too many teams up against the cap this season, And the $1,000,000 increase in the salary cap isn't helping. There's going to be a lot of buyouts and teams practicaally giving players away for pennies.

And then it’ll all calm down when the cap goes up $4M for 2024-25. This free agency class is not really fun besides the RFAs because there are a couple solid offersheet candidates. I can see a couple offsheets being made to really screw over some teams like Rangers, Oilers, and Avs.

I think the ship has sailed on the Parayko possibility. Making this deal would almost ensure that either Parayko or Severson would be playing 3RD in 2-3 years when Jiricek takes a top 4 spot and paying $6M+ for a 3RD approaching his mid 30s isn't a scenario the Jackets are going to want at any point.

Yeah that’s a good point. I think Parayko will not be going to CBJ. Maybe Blues just get Boqvist for RD. Who knows
