These Carter Hart and Hellebuyck trades are getting ridiculous. Please show me 1 goalie that got anywhere near the amount of assets you are expecting.

I really like the trades and would be happy with the value that is given to the Flyers. My only gripe is with the signings. During a rebuild fill out from the bottom and don’t give out 5 year contracts like candy. I hurts you more than anything. Sign guys to 1 years and ship them out at the deadline.

It’s rare to see top end young Franchise goalies on the block.

Granted Hele is 30 which isn’t the same as, nor is he an RFA so he is technically a rental and probably not worth nearly that return…but his stats are fantastic…
Granted, his stats are better than Hart because he has a good team in front. Hart has had a terrible team in front of him and has essentially been missing all their best 2-way forwards lol

There really isn't a comp because goalies rarely are traded.

People look at the Schneider deal but even that isn't a great comp because he was primarily a backup to Lou before being trade and had not shown he can play 55+ games with consistently.

The other thing is the current goalie crop in the NHL, is not good. A ton of meh tandem goalies. (Friedman mentioned this on 32Thoughts when speaking about Hart)

Teams seem to be VERY desperate, and the teams with sought after goalies aren't gonna consider trading them unless a very hefty price is paid.

It’s almost like people don’t think. They don’t listen to any podcasts or reporters, they don’t do their own research, they don’t think for themselves. They just see someone on here that says goalies don’t go for much and then they say it every time they see a goalie trade. We traded Bob for tow 2nds and a 5th I believe and he won 2 Vezinas and is a HHOFer. If you think Danny is going to sell Hart for nothing after that happened to the organization u are delusional
