The reason for the Nucks to do this is to free all of Myers cap which I think the Hawks would do for the right return....so I can't see half retention. You could always make Myers a player to be named later (after his bonus gets paid and he is only 1 million in salary). You still have to have someone willing to take on 6 million in cap, but that is an easier sell with only 1 million actual dollars involved. Myers has a 10 team no trade list which Ari very well may be on and even if they are not, they will easily be above the cap floor and play in front of 4600 fans and money (even a million dollars) is probably a concern at this point.
I think #11OA, Boeser, and Myers (PTBNL after his bonus) for #19OA, Ian Mitchell and a 3rd rounder make a lot of sense for both teams. Nucks free up 12.65 in cap and can add a significant player as a UFA or in trade to change their dynamic. Boeser is a little overpaid (like a million aseason) and Myers at 6 million in cap even with only 1 million real salary dollars is still a hard move for a team willing to take his full cap. Nucks remain in the first round with a decent pick while picking up a 3rd and get a depth RHD. Hawks get to upgrade a couple of picks into a better one where in theory they should get a better prospect/player. Boeser is a legit NHL player (all be it a little overpaid which they can afford) as is Myers. If Myer is health, Hawks should be able to retain and flip him for a mid round pick at the deadline.
