In my not-frequently-humble opinion, exchanging K'Andre Miller's career for two seasons of Jacob Middleton to get two 2023 second-round draft picks would be poor asset management. NY has arrived as a contender, no matter what the results of your first-round matchup this season were, so the seconds (as nice as they would be) aren't really needed to keep the ball rolling.
I'd be surprised if DeBrincat signed for less than Cole Caufield.
FYI, it's not customary for teams to sign RFAs like LaFreniere and Miller and then trade them. The new contracts are usually the concern of the acquiring team.
