I'd be comfortable with losing Berggren. I'd have a harder time with Soderblom or Mazur simply due to Soderblom's size and Mazur's grit (two things i think this team needs desperately), but I think I'd get over them.

I'd cross NY's 1st off the maybe list. And Boston's. And all the 2nds. And Lombardi. Hanas is a maybe. From Detroit's perspective.

        How It should be

        Untouchable
        Seider
        Edvinsson
        Cossa
        Kasper
        Raymond

        Available
        Everyone else

Putting guys like Cross Hanas and Jonathan Berggren in the same category as Seider and Raymond makes it way too wide of a range of players.

TBH that’s how I’d put it too. But obviously teams love to overvalue their prospects and their worth

I agree with this list more. On the fence about throwing Wallinder in there, but ultimately it depends on the deal. Same with 9OA.

If we're doing straight up only DeBrincat; I wouldn't add 9OA to the deal. Ottawa is fine with their LHD so i can't imagine them targeting Wallinder either.

        For me:
        Untouchables:
        Seider
        Raymond
        Kasper
        Edvinsson
        Cossa
        9OA

        Hesitant:
        Wallinder
        Soderblom
        Mazur

        Sad to See Go:
        Lombardi
        Johansson
        '24 (DET)
        '24 (BOS)

        Completely Fine:
        Everything else
        (Berggren, 17OA, other picks blahblahblah)

My list would be like this:

        Untouchable:
Seider, Raymond, Edvinsson, Kasper, Cossa, DET 2023 1st

        Highly unlikely:
Wallinder, DET 2024 1st, Mazur, Soderblom, Berggren, NYI 2023 1st, Rasmussen, Buchelnikov, James, Anton Johansson

        Can be moved:
        Hanas, Lombardi, Doucet, BOS 2024 1st, DET 2023 2nd, STL 2023 2nd, VAN 2023 2nd, DET 2024 2nd, Kubalik, Albert Johansson, Buium

A package of highly unlikely and can be moved is totally possible but it would have to be the right deal.

        Berggren, VAN 2023 2nd
        NYI 2023 1st, Kubalik
        Hanas, Kubalik, DET 2023 2nd

Just some ideas I wouldn't hate to part with.

You could put all your garbage centers, including Larkin, in "Ottawa doesn't want". Their center depth is set for the next 8+ years with Stu, Norris and Pinto

I agree for the most, but I think that 2024 1st (BOS) should be kept (or at least some kind of protection on it. I don't expect the Bruins to fall of a cliff, but that pick could end up being much more valuable than we think. Atlantic-Division just keeps getting better, Bergeron/Krejci?, the Bruins are also Cap strapped which doesn't make it easier.

I actually meant to put with protection on both of those firsts next year. I think we should keep it as well, supposed to be a good class for defensemen.

As others are pointing out, Berggren is far from untouchable. I was convinced that Yzerman didn't like his play away from the puck and that is why he wasn't getting chances in Detroit. Maybe I was wrong about that, but I still think he is quite far from untouchable.
