I could say the exact same thing of you saying it would cost a 1st to dump Myers. While Myers hasn't lived up to his contract, he's still 6'8". GM's have a thing for paying a lot more that they should for big guys just because of their size (see Chiarot). Myers 50% retained at the deadline will easily get a mid round pick in return. If teams really want a 1st to take on Myers, Vancouver will be more than happy to just hold on to him for another year and trade him at the deadline 50% retained for a pick.
