If FLA wins the Cup do they trade Bob? If they do win Bobs value goes up and they can trade that contract and curious what they could land in return. If they can trade Bob they can sign more players and quite possibly stay competitive

Even if they do win, one outstanding playoff run doesn't change the fact that he's a 10 million dollar cap hit without a track record of the success he's had this post season. Not many teams can take on a 10 million dollar cap hit without any substantial cap going the other direction. It's not just a massive hit for 1 year, it has to make sense for the acquiring team for the next 3 seasons, and with multiple players that need to get paid, along with other holes to fill I doubt that team is Buffalo, especially at that cost.

I mean there could be some retention but at most 20%. I don't see more than that if they win the cup. I do see BUF as a candidate or maybe DET or it could be to a team Like CHI or ARZ so that they can reach the cap floor

The issue with Bob is his contract, age, and inconsistent play.

t's more likely a FLA take nothing in return for Bob then them getting anything.

I think this would be a massive mistake for BUF. Bobs can play, but the consistency is an issue, esp at $10M for 3 more years.
