I’ve got no interest in this trade. Guentzel at a cheap contract for one season is obviously great but I’d rather have Pinto long-term than Guentzel at his age and with the next contract that he’ll demand. this only way they’d fit it would be if they also traded DeBrincat, so basically it results in swapping DeBrincat for a significantly older player who’ll be equally as expensive, and losing Pinto in the process. Nylander and Rutta aren’t really anything to me, so DEFINITELY not interested in also adding our 1st

More explanation: Shane Pinto is highly thought of in this organization, as they've deemed him untouchable in trades. He filled in as 2C this season, and will be a great 3C next season. Heck, he may surpass Norris as 2C in a couple years.

None of the players offered are really appealing and worth screwing up our center depth. Guenztle is getting old and needs a new contract. Nylander isn't really established at NHL. Rutta could be decent depth, but not worth Pinto and a 1st.
