Détails additionnels:
I know this somehow wont be enough for Canucks fans but i honestly think it is reasonable given their current trajectory and situation. Subtracting 11 million in cap and only adding 3.3 million back on the starting roster is a huge benefit for a team already above the cap for next season. Additionally, Jokiharju is a step up from Myers. Luukkonen is young and has shown promise. I do not like giving up Ostlund or a 2024 1st round pick but Buffalo needs a solid goal tender to pair with Levi and Thatcher fits the bill.

Olofsson would be a solid scoring addition to a fast transitioning Carolina offense. A second round pick is fair compensation going the other way.

My only thought about a move like this is I'd rather see Boeser attached than Myers for the quick turnaround attempt. Let Myers expire and also be able to utilize Boeser's space for a goalie.

Vancouver isn’t doing that deal because it makes no sense. The only reason to get cap space for next season is to try to make the playoffs. This team isn’t making the playoffs without Demko. If Vancouver was in a rebuild, then trading a cap dump player like Myers makes no sense either.

Demko is not going anywhere. He is Our goalie of the future. We have invested several years into his development. He loves it in Vancouver.I doubt he gets moved.IMHO.

Thats a hell of an offer for Demko. But as others have said i think he's untouchable unless we were to move Miller and some others and totally rebuild. Then id bite your arm off to give this deal.

I 100% agree this team is not making the playoffs without Demko, it is also not making the playoffs with him. This team has been middling at best for years. The Sabres were worse than middling and finally decided to pull the band-aid off. It was clearly the right decision in Buffalo as we were 1 point out of a playoff spot. Honestly, i think Vancouver needs to do the same. Maybe Myers was the wrong target and maybe Boesner would be better.

Its funny you say that because the canucks probably finish ahead of sabres with a healthy demko last year, but who really cares how close you get if you miss

Its very possible. The Sabres also had that losing streak in November after losing Samuelsson. I just have a hard time seeing the Canucks as currently constructed getting the job done but hopefully im wrong i would hope they get better truthfully. I just know the Sabres if they are smart will not settle on simply rolling Levi and either Comrie or UPL . They have got to go and get some veteran goaltender to get this team over the hump.

Still doesn't make sense with Boeser. Whether or not you agree if they will make the playoffs, the team does. And it only does with Demko. And if they don't, they would trade Demko for futures and wouldn't need to worry about trading Boeser or Myers for cap reasons. They could trade Boeser with retention and get a significant return. Myers might get mid round pick at the TDL.

If the Canucks were to look to move Demko, I think that'd be fair
