Canes decline, they don't move large packages for rentals. No extension, there's no AM34 deal.

In the regular season they were average though, 15th in the league in goals. Adding a high end goal scorer could take them to another level. Doesn’t have to be Matthews but it makes sense for Carolina to target a goal scorer this offseason
