What are the suggested trades?

Was more giving standard comments on the trades that we have been constantly seeing.

As a leafs fan I like the idea of Nylander going to a contending team in the west for a defenseman. Toews from the avs or something like that. I also can't see Johnny T on the wing as centers are so expensive compared to wingers. I don't want to trade for a goalie as we could have a cap hit of 4m between Sammy and Woll for 2 years. Really interested to see what happens.

A really nice survey. The only thing I could add is that Brodie's contract makes him even less appealing -- he's due $7.5 million (!) this season.

Also a guy like Timmins would make sense for Buffalo for a pick.

Why was Matthews being traded to Arizona even an option in this year or the past seven years?

That's what I surmised as well........but he failed to include Tuch not being available in any proposal. Since their playoff exit, it seems there's been a flurry of ACGM proposals by Leafs fans wishfully thinking that the Sabres will trade Tuch to them.

I haven't seen any of those as of late, but you are correct, that would be another one.

I suppose it goes with the territory of being in the "mecca of hockey" but it always seems that part of being a Maple Leafs fan is not only clamoring for the 1967 curse to end but also to fantasize that every hockey player in the NHL wants to play in Toronto so every one of the 31 other teams should send their stars to Toronto for the Maple Leafs' unwanted spare parts.
