Islanders aren’t trading their future number 1 defenseman for a guy who has performance anxiety in the playoffs. And btw IK he had 14 points in the first round against a banged up Tampa bay team, but it felt like he did less than nothing against Florida.

47 points in 50 career playoff games. Elite two way winger. One of the best wingers in the league. I know he has a big contract, but Marner is an elite player and he will probably sign for a similar amount on his next contract. He would cost significant assets in a trade

He absolutely would cost significant assets, and whoever gave them up would live to regret it. He’s at least to some extent a product of the guys around him, and those guys have had less career playoff success than Anthony ****ing Beauvillier.
