Pens are half-way between rebuilding and retooling, Edmundson gives them some size and grit. They fall back in the draft but still have a first round pick, and get an asset that should help them, maybe get reunited with Petry, and one that can be flipped for a return at the TDL if things go off the rails.

They still need to trade that pick. No point being between a rebuild and ALL IN. The worst you can do is live without an identity in the NHL. Malkin/Crosby derseve all IN pushes the next 2-3 years. Trade the 1st to get out of the Granlund contract at the worst and rebuild the bottom 6

      Pens decline. Edmundson is useless.

I can't remember the last time I agreed to a MTL proposal, but, I'd be cool with taking a flyer on Gurianov for FC's.

Can you guys please stop trading us Edmundson? Please!

I know we need an LHD, but he's not it. He's cooked. That back injury, unfortunately, has done him in.

Plus, that swapping of the 1sts makes zero sense. There's nothing about Edmundson that warrants a first. Not even close. You'd be lucky to get a 3rd for him at this point WITH retention. It was WELL REPORTED that GM's are very hesitant on trading for Edmundson.

What in the world are you talking about? The Pens don't HAVE to trade a 1st unless a really great trade comes along and brotha, THIS AIN'T IT.

Also, you don't need a first to get rid of Granlund. It's been well-established now the cost of moving players like him and it would take a 2nd to move him. Just go back and look at all the other contracts that teams had to pay to move. A 2nd is the price.
