Description
A possibly disgruntled Keller (at least his dad is) and a guy who scores a lot but isn’t a Blues player both with no NTC’s, these two might get swapped.

I don’t think the Blues are able to unload any of the big long term de contracts but a contract like Scandella’s should be easy to unload and will give them the opportunity to resign ROR and sign major RFA’s

These two have pretty equal value in my eyes but I could see the Blues trading a pick or two as well to get it done

The 25th+30th OV could be used instead but yeah maybe they will use the 10th OV.

They just need to be able to move some money out.

In that case I’d rather just do neighbors plus our two later firsts
    That’s a pretty big package

Blues would 100% swap Kyrou for Keller straight up. Arizona probably wouldn't do it because Kyrou makes $1m more per

Heh. Okay, man. Because Arizona is super tight on cap space. tears of joy And FYI, at the same age, Keller has played 190 more games, but only has 90 more points.

Anyway, I'll be sitting here waiting for that "100%" to occur.

Maybe you don't watch the current hockey news very much, but the financial situation with the Coyotes isn't the best. There's a reason they collect cap hits on players who are no longer playing so they can make the cap floor but also don't have to pay much in the terms of actual dollars.

Kyrou is a good player. Keller is better in my opinion. Think a lot of higher end hockey people would agree with me also. It's also pretty clear that Kyrou and Doug and Chief don't all see eye to eye. Can that be fixed and more than likely will be fixed? - yes. Still think the Blues would jump out of their seats to make this trade.

To your point though, it will probably never occur. I do think that Kyrou is more likely to be moved than many of the other things on this site though just due to the fact it was he that DA was talking about at year end when he said younger players are more concerned about a Youtube highlight than a complete game...

1 - Disagree. Keller isn't nearly the transition player Kyrou is, and he's not more productive.

2 - Based on what, another gut feeling?

3 - This is just nonsense, the same nonsense JR always pushes into the bubble. Chief once called out Perron and benched him for a game TWICE. Managing players in a way is not the same as "they don;t see eye to eye". He's trying to develop the player. Sometimes that means a little tiff or a comment in the paper. It's nowhere near as dramatic as people make it out to be. They said all the same stuff about Brett Hull... for 11 years. Blah blah blah.

4 - Jump out of their seats? Really? Heh, okay then.

5 - Ya know what? Army and Chief both need to start talking about all the mistakes they made this past season. Maybe then they can start going in on players with all the stupid comments they made this season. The single worst performer on the Blues in 22-23 was Armstrong. He needs to zip it and do better. Kyrou earned far more of his salary last season than Army did, that's for damn sure.

Kyrou was greatly improved in all three zones during the last 20-30 games of the season, man. I get your point, but he does have a complete game in him - it needs to be coached out of him. He's closer to a complete game than Keller, and he's been in the league for nearly 200 more games.

I could agree with some of this. I like Kyrou and like the speed element he brings - Blues haven't been a fast team for a long time. That being said, I wouldn't say he's a Chief or Armstrong type player. Armstrong did also admit at year end that he needed to grow and change himself when it came to younger players nowadays.

I think Doug knew this was going to be a transition year very early in the regular season.

The Leddy signing still befuddles the F out of me. That being said, I don't think he's as bad as you have insinuated in the past and actually fits pretty well next to Faulk.

Keller has never played with a center as good as Thomas. Granted Kyrou often doesn't play with Thomas. I would trade 1 for 1 and think the Blues would also. Understand if you disagree.
