I do agree except something tells me Wilson being an impending UFA and Washington needing a retool means they won't be giving him a raise. So him sticking around there without much hope for the future seems pretty pointless. Toronto bias is a factor too with him being from there and having a M-NTC

The organization has stated many times they have no intentions of letting him walk, and he absolutely loves DC. It would take something big to convince the Caps to move him, and I honestly see him replacing Ovi as captain down the road. And as far as this retool, give the Caps a healthy lineup going into the season and the team will be fine. Last year was the worst year injury-wise I can remember in a long time as a Caps fan, so everybody coming back healthy with the long offseason will help tremendously. And a coach that's not a dinosaur will help too lol.

Great perspective tbh. I didn't follow too closely but i've always been a big fan of Tom Wilson and reality is he's the type of player every team could use. Saw rumours of Mantha being more likely to be moved but he's definitely not as appealing lol

The issue with making any trade to Calgary for Lindholm is that it leaves them without a top center to pivot Marner (or Nylander). If you wouldn't want Kadri as your 1C, why would we?
