What would make it happen then (for the MTL one)

Firstly, Dvorak, Farrell, Montembeault and Ylonen have no appeal to any team.

So, that only leaves 2 decent components, the 2 picks.

Helly is going to fetch a LOT more than all that was posted there all by himself.

To get Helly and Dubois? They would need to add Riley Kidney "OR" Davidson to MTL's 1st pick, their FLA pick and Jake Allen.

That gives WPG an okay goalie (not great, but can play) a prospect that will be in the NHL in the next year or 2, a top pick that will be in the NHL in the next year or 2 and an decent pick that will be 50/50 to ever play in the NHL.

This makes MTL an immediate Playoff team and lets the Jets rebuild and be ready in 3 years.

Kidney, Davidson, Allen + 2 firsts ? MTL says yes. But the 5th OA ? Nope. They would counter with a 2024 top 10 protected first (that could become a 2025 unprotected first if the 2024 is indeed top 10) instead of the 5th OA. Maybe throw in a little sweetener.
