Description
Stack lots of picks in 23 draft so that you can load up prospect pool on forwards while stacking high picks for 24 draft to revamp the blue line in a defense heavy draft. I didn’t even go full nuclear and try to move Hart and Sanheim or other guys like Laughton/Farabee cause I don’t believe they will go full nuclear.

The 2nd was probably too much but a trade of some sort between Myers and Ellis has been rumored by many

Giving picks & taking on a longer big contract just won’t happen. Cap is the Canucks ‘major surgery’ goal to fix.

Zero chance Van wants Ellis. He's old. He's way too expensive for way too long. And he barely even played this year. The picks would have to be going the other way and even then Van declines.

He didn't play this year, and he won't play again he's an LTIR contract

Yeah Ellis is all but retired, he’s not ever going to play again it’s an LTIR trade like Weber’s contract. You would basically cap dump Myers on us and just need to place Ellis on LTIR every year to have the cap space so no you would need to pay us for taking him. 2nd might be too much but 3rd and 4th is probably close to being right. I would just recommend researching on stuff a bit before just commenting if you literally don’t even know what you’re commenting on.

It’s an LTIR contract so you just stash him, it would literally create cap space for you. Please research before commenting about stuff you don’t know

Hang on... So you dump a massive contract and Van PAYS YOU for it and you get the player still playing? No chance. Zero. Nil. You'll have to pay to unload that kind of money. No owner is like, "hey, can we blow $40 million for zero return? I'd love that".

As an East Coast guy, you're probably unaware of the exchanges that have passed back and forth between Canucks and Ducks fans here on CF. Because Myers has a $5 million signing bonus that gets paid this summer, after that his actual salary for the entire season is $1 million. So it's been generally accepted by the respective fanbases that Anaheim will take Myers and Vancouver's 2024 third for Anaheim's 2024 sixth, or Myers and Vancouver's 2024 fourth for Future Considerations. Either way, Vancouver is relieved of a $6 million cap hit at virtually no cost and the Ducks get a #3 RhD for almost nothing. And everybody remains friends.

Hah interesting almost like CBJ and Flyers fans for Hayes where basically every team has the same trade for Hayes in it.

It’s been reported by every local reporter and some national guys that he will never play again. Has a torn Psoas (think I spelled it right) that requires surgery that he refuses to get so basically he just refuses to come back to play and it’s also been reported he never wanted to leave Nashville and didn’t want to be in Philly. Hasn’t appeared for any team functions including home games unlike Cam and Coots that showed up for plenty. Think the only thing he was there for this year was the team photo ironically lol. He is literally just an LTIR stash move for a team that needs cap like what happened with Weber’s contract

I’m just gonna assume at this point you don’t know how the LTIR stash moves works and your just ignorant because the same thing happened with Weber and it’s been widely speculated by both local and national guys that Flyers are actively looking to trade Ellis to a team in need of cap space and wants to dump a bad contract or restructure e.i. Myers/Wheeler/etc. Paying the team taking a bad contract and you taking an LTIR guy creates the necessary cap space a team needs and that’s quite literally how it goes and obvi the team getting the cap space will have to pay for it

One year of cap space is not worth it. Not even close. This team didn't even make playoffs. Even a one for one swap isn't worth it. Also, Van has been trying to get out of LTIR all year. They aren't going to do that... I don't care how ignorant you assume I am.

You don't know what you're talking about. Maybe you're ignorant. Van isnt AZ or LV. They aren't about taking bad contracts or LTIR contracts. Never have, and aren't in the position to anyways. The team has publicly said so, and made clear this season that one of their goals is to get out of LTIR altogether. I'm not sure how me knowing that makes me ignorant.

I mean sure just speculation from both national and local reporters as well as plenty of people here that make both VAN teams and PHI teams that a deal between the two teams for those 2 players makes sense but I’m sure u think out of all of those people you’re the smart one.
