Hawks probably decline. Think they'd rather take their chances at #44. Yegor is almost 25. Doesn't really fit the Hawks timeline. I'm sure some other team would give up a pick for him.

Yeah... He is right on the edge of fitting our timeline. But I definitely wouldn't give up a 2nd to add someone like him at this point in our rebuild.

probably, just more of a 'if the hawks want to take a calculated short cut or two' type move, since getting bedard changes things for them a bit. lots of work to do and Sharangovich would be a nice piece for a younger hawks team

For sure. But, judging from all the language Davidson and the fan base and the pundits are using in regards to CHI's rebuild, Bedard changes nothing. The rebuild will still be organic. No shortcuts. Now, Bedard MIGHT speed up the organic process, but that is something only time will tell. From the beginning of his tenure as GM, Davidson has preached patience and planning for long term success. Taking short cuts now would diminish the longevity of the "success" they are trying to build.

Out of curiosity, What Contract are you expecting Sharangovich to get?

I don't think CHI does it but we do have (4) 2nds and he is young enough. Just not sure if he's trending in the right direction or stagnated due to limited opportunity.

I think the two most realistic outcomes are:
1. Yegor takes his QO, 2.05m
2. Medium term deal, something like 3.25-3.5m x 4 years

He reminds me of Kubalik and if the price is right, I don't mind CHI taking a chance on him personally.

Has unfortunately been squeezed out of the Devils lineup and didn't get much playoff action.

Evolving Hockey has him projected around 3 yrs 3.55m; i think thats a good price for him; i just think he's squeezed out of the devils future at the moment. the top 6 wingers will shake out something like.. Bratt, Meier, Palat, Mercer and maybe Holtz (i'll believe it when i see it tbh).

He's a useful player, Sharangovich, great PKer and can be a plus finisher, given the opportunity.

I know he's been pegged as a good PKer but is he really? Didn't think the analytics jumped off the sheet but I prefer eye test personally.

That contract is pretty reasonable tbh, wonder if NJD can agree a deal with him.
