Yep, still doesn't take away he scored 28 goals. Yes he needs the right situation, but the kid can score goals and with retention is worth more than a 3rd.

That's the problem, he can only shoot, he can't play defense, he can't play physical game or be a very good playmaker. He's not likely to be worth much, if Adams manages to get a second for him, that would be great.

I'm convinced we still need a top 4 RD who can play defense, on PK and block shots, Joki different type defenseman.

Yes he needs the right situation and linemates. But he can be a playmaker, damn he had 29 assists last year, and the year he played 54gms with Eichel he had 22.

And what are those assists? Secondary or a lot of good and sharp passes? Not every player who gets 25-30 assists in a season is a good playmaker.

Well said playmaker, didn't say good playmaker. And a guy who can score you 25 -30 goals and add 20 to 30 assists, be it secondary or not in the right situation and Olofsson can do that, is worth more than a 3rd with retention.

OK, well he had 42pts in 54 games with Eichel and Rhino. Give him good linemates that are decent 200ft players and I See it.

Somehow everybody may be right. The winger market is weak, and not many teams wanna take a chance on a 5 million dollar winger that can walk next summer. So he's not worth much. Yet, he still can produce if he's in the right situation. It's going to be interesting to see if adams moves him for an underwhelming return, I won't be shocked if he's here next year. It makes no sense to keep him mind you, we don't have a competent 200 foot two way 3rd line center to bring out the best in his game.

Yep, but he's also had 2 more 20 or more goal seasons since that and almost hit 50 pts 2 years ago.

Check what Mike hoffman, bjorkstrand etc went foe. It's not encouraging

Hoffman, what back in 2018-19 with that crap with his Girlfriend. Well I know there was a 2nd involved, don't remember other than maybe couple more picks and a prospect. Could be wrong
