It’s been 7 years man and we haven’t won anything. If they don’t make a magical comeback and make it to round 3. It’s time to tear this thing down and start the rebuild I just dont see them winning with any of the players they have right now

Ur getting a 60 goal 100pt scorer in Matthews, a 20 goal 50 pt piece in Jarnkrok, a young depth piece with some potential to be a mid 6 guy in Robertson and a top 10 goaltender this year in Samsonov, for a 40 goal 60 pt guy, 20 goal 40 pt guy, a 20 pt defensman and a backup goalie and a 1st, that 3rd and 4th are basically meaningless.

That’s a ridiculous trade for Toronto who can fetch more than that just for Matthews. Must be a massive LA homer or stupid leafs hater.

Why would LA give up anything of value for Matthews? Next summer, he's going to sign wherever he wants, regardless of where Toronto trades him this off-season. 1 season of Matthews is not worth the Kings' first 40 goal scorer in 30 years, even without all the other assets included here.

If Matthews wants to sign in LA next summer, he will. If he doesn't, he won't. Trading away a haul like this for a guy he could have gotten for free would (and should) cost Blake his job.
