Seattle is in no place to make a trade like that yet, just let the young guys emerge and build up their prospect pool, hold assets etc. Wait a summer or 2 to make those moves imo.

Also Boston is not doing that for a lateral move, they’re better off keeping those 2 guys.

The Bruins trade.....doesn't really save the Bruins the cap they need. May not be an improvement on the ice either. But M NTCs for Carlo and Coyle to Winnipeg....very unlikely.
Illinois native Compher might have new home in Chicago

All very Reasonable, just thought Boston would prefer a much better 1C opposed to a strong Dcore, and thought Seattle might be willing to make a Vegas-esk move.

Sweeney isn't dealing Coyle and Carlo for one year of Mark Scheifele.

And that's a pretty lame offer for Connor Hellebuyck.

Thats all fair points, just thought the bruin would value having a certified 1C over a stronger defensemen. Obviously this would be assuming all players would waive NTCs and NMCs

similar to what you said for scheifele, hellebuyck is one a one year deal and due a raise, so the value is already lower. they are shooting high on guys who have some upside

Bruins say no to that trade, Carlo is a big part of the younger leadership core and considering Bergeron and Krejci both may retire this offseason I don’t think they move him unless they get blown away.

Thats fair, but is it, on a trade stand point, a fair trade?

Probably not, Carlo has 4 years left on his deal, Coyle has 3. Meanwhile both Dillon and Scheifele expire after next season. Just from that POV the Jets are clearly getting more value.

Boston declines. Their RD is to shallow to move Carlo. Coyle is not waiving for Winnipeg. Don’t want to trade either of them. Not much interest in Mark S. None in Dillon.

The Bruins trade doesn't make a ton of sense really, like I get it but not sure it's what either team is looking for plus there's the trade protection involved.

Chevy trading Helle for a couple guys who were on waivers in the past would be pretty funny and a goalie who missed almost the entire season to injury would be funny.
