Helly move probably pushes the jets into a rebuild, so any trade would want a rather large trade tree, ideally there’s a first coming back in this upcoming draft or possibly not a lot of protection to a draft going forward.

Ya I can’t really comment on your trade, I don’t know thomson and ostapchuk, possibly enough, easier to say yay or neh with different levels of draftpicks. Got a feeling the jets going to try and secure a few picks in this years first round, and also quite the wheeling and dealing off-season.

From a quick search, Thomson seems alright. I see him as a throw-in in many DeBrincat trades, where Detroit marginally adds so. Ostapchuk doesn't seem too good as a prospect - unless he's a defensive mastermind and the prospect reports don't note that. Would rather a first rounder than all of those pieces combined.

Shane Pinto + Mads Sogard + 1st, would be a reasonable ask with an extension in place.
