Pronger's wife hates it in Edmonton where you can find this quote?
Just give them Getzlaf and the 1st and be done with it.
Brilliant negotiating tactics.
Very easy to tell another team to give away assets for no other reason that you care less about the Habs than PLD cares about an elimination game performance when hes out the door.
Would be tough to trade a 2023 1st if the deal is made after the draft.
And anyone willing to pay to acquire Dubois as a rental at the deadline would also do it with a 2024 pick...one that will probably be lower than 17th.

Dont use logic on jets fans. they'll block you!
They'll be fine and they can wait. No big decisions this offseason rotflmao

Hilarious that you think Dach and Getzlaf were remotely equivalent in their D+4 seasons. Dach was already a distressed asset when he got to Montreal, you wouldn't have been able to get him in the first place otherwise.
The thing is, his agent went out of his way to say his player would like to play for MTL. To me, that says a lot.
PLD gave out on his two previous teams BECAUSE he wants to play for MTL since the 2016 draft. I can't see him lacking effort and heart on his dream team.
Drouin is the softest player in the league. PLD is the opposite. He's definitely not Drouin 2.0, and anyone saying otherwise doesn't know hockey.
That's just me giving my opinion with the informations i got. You don't have to be butthurt about it.
For once, a Quebec player seem to really want to play his best years in MTL. How about you let us enjoy that one.
Because I also cheer for a small market team that regularly gets lowballed for our star talent on CapFriendly with similarly pie in the sky justification about why we should take said lowball offer and be happy about it. We take extreme offense being treated like farm teams for large market franchises. So yeah, I am backing Winnipeg here, make them a fair offer for PLD, or start making 2025 ACGMs where you sign him.

WPG should have never traded for him if they knew he wanted to play for MTL. That's on Chevy.
MTL will pay market value for PLD. Not our fault if he keeps lowering his value.
What do you think his market value is considering he's a 1 year rental?
