Seattle will have better places to sepnd their cap. Not going to happen. If you want it that bad maybe that's a hint it's not good for the other team.
Not sure where we're getting "bjorkstrand didn't work out" in Seattle from. 20 goals 45 points for a guy they gave up a 3rd for is great. No need for them to give up a 1st and 4 million extra for Cat who scored a whopping 7 more goals. Teams with strong mangment don't trade their picks away too early..... maybe Dorian could learn a thing or two
What are you on about? I'm not a fan of either team, I'm an outside observer free of homer perspective on either team or either player.
5.4 million AAV isn't great for a sub 50 point guy playing on the third line, he's not as good a fit in their system as he was in Columbus, and as csik also pointed out, they have a ton of middle 6 guys (one could argue they have an entire team of middle 6 guys), they are light at the top 6. Even this season Debrincat would be 2nd on Seattle in goals after McCann. They've also got a fair bit of cap coming off the books in the next few years, so they won't have cap issues as young guys start to take over the roster, even while dragging Grubauer's deal around with them.
