Again. Hall only has a 10 team no trade list. Prior to him signing in Buffalo, Boston and Nashville were the two biggest suitors. Why would he not want to go to NSH?

I think Detroit takes it. We can sign a guy to play in a defensive role but barrie would help replace hroneks offense which we so drastically missed after he was moved. Him on the 2nd pp unit is a big win.

For a team that only has one or two more kicks at the can, before they're forced to blow it up (basically where PIT saw themselves at this deadline), I could see Hall being of interest. An early 2nd in a deep draft, and a good, physical 3rd liner on a cheap deal like Trenin would be a fair price at the deadline, in that circumstance. NSH isn't in a window's about to close situation though, and tacking on a $3M AHL player subtracts too much value.

The 2nd year he had Haula as his centerman. This year the Bruins are so deep he's playing in the 3rd line with Coyle & Frederic. Hall also doesn't get significant PP time.

It's not like he'd be linemates with a Pastrnak or DeBrusk in NSH either, and my points in the second paragraph of the post you're quoting still stand.

My original comment was you saying Hall is a cap dump. Your second paragraph had nothing to do with supporting your thought that he's a cap dump. Idk why OP even had Reilly in there as Boston can buy him out for a $333k hit next season.
