Leafs could "cheat" and use an Ahl'er who has waiver exempt, as their 13th forward as an emergency call up, the cap hit on those call ups don't count against the cap.

I think it will have to be ROR or Bunting.

There are 3 paths for Murray

Either he will retire in the summer as with all the injuries I dont know if hes gonna go I can do it again. Best scenerio as Ottawa takes the cap punishment lul

He will be bought out

or

He will be traded to SJS for a 7th with no retention. As SJS need a goalie and if they can get one for FC or nothing probs will do it

I think Dubas has learned to save his image and reputation by signing the rentals he overpays for.

Everyone still talks about the 1st Rd pick Dubas lost in that Foligno trade which was a disaster.

He resigned Gio and that trade looks like a steal.

So signing ROR will be important.

Signing Bunting will be just as important if Dubas believes he'll lose either one of Matthews or Nylander to UFA.

I think Nylander takes another teams offer and gets him $10 payday. Which is too rich for the Leafs to pay if Matthews will cost $14 range.
