    Mantha probably cost a first to dump and Anderson would go for a first + if traded. I think that's a pretty decent trade.

    Phil;ly isn;t really looking to move Hart, but would do so for an OVERpyament, that is really an underpayment and Armia carries no value at 3.4mil, especially to a team full of wingers.

    Hart is probably worth the 2 1sts almost alone

    In 2013, a better Schneider was traded for the 9th OA after putting up some amazing seasons with the Nucks. With his stats the past 3 seasons (even though I see the potential), Hart isn't worth nearly two top 12 pick in one of the best draft in recent memories. And the players available from 8th to 12th are all pretty similar (I just did the trade to secure Reinbacher but he might as well be available at 11th).

    2013 was a world away, but anything after the top 8 or so picks is a crap shoot whether you get a player as Hart has been so far. But as I said "Hart is ALMOST worth the two 1sts alone", theres not enough difference left, so what is PHI getting for dropping back 4 spots and taking a 3.4mil cap hit they dont want?

    As the buyer, you need to offer the seller what they want, your offer is not enough for something they dont need/want to sell.

    You don't move the 11th pick to dump a guy with 1 year left on his deal. It's terrible asset management. Anderson isn't worth a first plus either. One has 27 pts and one 32.

    That Washington trade is the prime example of habs bias. Mantha isn't a cap dump whatsoever for a multitude of reasons
    1 There's one year left
    2 It isn't much money
    3 Washington has absolutely no reason to trade him, they don't need cap

    And then the classic Josh Anderson take. Mantha is arguably better than Anderson right now let alone when Mantha is playing as he's supposed to

    hahahahahha in what world does Anderson go for a first +...

    Idk maybe you are trolling, but that is outrageous. Mantha is arguable better (or more valuable) than Anderson, especially with only have one more year left at $5.7m

    But hey - thanks for the laugh

    No to both of those statements lol. Anderson is bordering on a cap dump with his contract. Mantha is likely somewhere in the area of costing a late second to dump or returning a late round pick. He is not going to cost the 11th overall pick in a stacked draft. This trade is delusional.

    That is simply not the case. Why would they give up a first to dump one year of his contract? I could see maybe a 3rd but if they retain a little bit they could prolly get a pick back.

    And absolutely no shot Anderson would land the 11th overall let alone another second. I wouldn’t call him a cap dump as some people are saying, but he’s certainly not worth 1st +.

    Anderson and Mantha basically have the same production and the same cap hit. So if Mantha is a cap dump, Anderson is one as well. And Anderson has 3 more years on his deal. In that case MTL should be the team adding picks.

    yes guys these trades dont make sense... Some perspective guy. hughes doesnt want to trade anderson. Here is why? He is fast...he has size and he competes every night and he want to be here plus he is not old..... montreal has too many small forward like farrelll gally and Harvey and caufield... so the last thing we want to trade is guys with speed and size... as such slaf and Anderson and Dach are not going anywhere... we want to get bigger..... One of the small forwards is going to need tobe moved and stop trying to give anderson away he will be 32 at the end of his deal and that is not too old. you keep mantha and we will keep Anderson and he will be an assistant captian next year.

    Last 3 years
    2020-21
    Mantha = 29 points in 56 games = 42 point pace in 82 games
    Anderson = 24 points in 52 games = 37 point pace in 82 games

    2021-22
    Mantha - 23 points in 37 games = 50 point pace in 82 games
    Anderson - 32 points in 69 games = 38 point pace in 82 games

    2022-23
    Mantha - 27 points in 66 games = 34 point pace in 82 games
    Anderson - 32 points in 69 games = 38 point pace in 82 games

    Yet you think Anderson is worth a first and Mantha will take a first to dump. Gimme a break man lmfao. They're the same player except Anderson actually looks like he's trying on the ice, but he has a longer crappy contract. Hard no.
