Give up on the Karlsson pipe dream, it just doesn't work unless there is a significant cap increase. Ekholm is better for this team.

Bouchard and Holloway will be WAY more valuable to the team than a couple good years of Karlsson.

That and it’s a total pipe dream to think sharks would retain 4.5 mil on the potential Norris winner and on top of that take a huge cap dump in Campbell.

edmonton reallly just needs a right shot Ekholm to play with nurse now. A 6 million dollar type guy who covers his contract so that nurse can be a little more offensive.

Bouchard and holloway is a terrible tradeoff for karlsson.

Money aside and in a vacuum Bouchard and Holloway plus a 1st for Karlsson is a reasonable if not a good deal for Edmonton.
Take into account Elkholm deal at the TDL, the cap ramifications, and team needs and it would be foolish to make this deal, even with Campbell and the retention.
I see this hurting the Oilers more than helping them, after all Barrie was moved because of his lack of D and Karlsson’s D is pathetic. Oilers need strong fast bigger stay home D guys to free up Nurse and Elkholm to provide the offense from the back end.
