Respectfully: could you imagine Lou Lamoriello trading for a lightning rod player like TDA? Because I certainly can't.

Beyond that, the Isles are only looking to replace RD3 next year - and I assume they try to go cheaper than this to fill that hole. If they want to spend $2.5M on that spot, I'd be much happier throwing it at someone like Connor Clifton than giving up a 2nd rounder for TDA.
