Schmaltz would be a good fit but if he costs a 1st then the isles shouldn’t do it - but Lou doesn’t really care , he’ll give up a 1st if it means finishing 15th instead of 12th in the standings

I’d prefer to give up a 1st for Schmaltz 100/100 times compared to a Henrique for obvious reasons. Schmaltz instantly part of a longer term core. I seriously wonder if that’s how you can shed Bailey. Schmaltz owed $24.45m in real cash over the next 3 years. That’s 60% of his deal. An expiring Bailey owed $3.5m in cash on a $5m AAV. Gets AZ closer to the cap floor for at least one season

I think he's done adding up front... the Islanders need a LHD to pair with Dobson in a bad way. A veteran defensive LHD on an expiring contract that pushes Aho down the depth chart.
