That's the cost of moving a 62 point winger last season within the division. We don't have to trade him. And we can easily re-sign him. If the Leafs want Bertuzzi they're going to pay for it.

There’s a lot of Leafs fans; you should know that - your arena is full of them when Leafs play there. I wouldn’t focus on where bertuzzi is slotted; truth is you could prob play in our top 6 and produce. We had Jarnkrok & Kerfoot there earlier - both with some success - and neither of them is worth a 1st?

Yeah because what playoff team would want a power forward who can score 30 goals a season and play a solid defensive game…

To be fair though, you brought up a good point. I’d give it a 19/67.

He’s scored 30 goals once, career ave is 0.29 gpg , 50+ % of which come on PP (zero chance he’d play on our PP1). He also averages ~ 40% of games missed due to injury.
I would imagine Stevey Y keeps him anyway & tries to make the playoffs; not looking good but you never know.
Of course it’s a big risk - he (& other FAs) could walk in summer… tough spot.
