If the Kings are out on Chychrun, McCabe is probably the next stop. The Kings will offer their 2024 1st round pick, not 2023.

I think the return from the Rangers is going to be minuscule, if it happens at all. We already decided against getting him - if it happens anyway it will be because he forced his way there by telling Davidson to send him there no matter what and Davidson does it as a thank you for bringing three Cups to Chicago. Kings would probably offer a 2024 1st, 2023 2nd, and Petersen or a 2024 1st, 2023 3rd, and Walker.. If Chicago can't find a better offer then maybe they accept. Kings aren't desperate.

Hawks would probably prefer Walker, 2024 1st (top 10 protected) and a 2023 3rd (lower of the two they currently own) as a package for McCabe. My only question is are the hawks still retaining in McCabe in this trade because it seems fairly redundant given the walker contract coming back.

My issue with that, is McCabe worth a top 10 pick even with 50% retention? I don't think so. If the Kings went to crap, it'd be possible.
