Rangers waive Leschynshyn which saves them $766,667 right now, but that accrues cap space over time and will hit $905,000 by March 3rd.
They trade Kravstov ($875,000) + Picks and prospects for Kane retained at 50% by Chicago and a second 50% by Arizona or Anaheim which brings his cap hit to $2,625,000.
$908,667 + $905,000 + $875,000 = $2,688,667 - $2,625,000 = $63,667 in Cap Space.
They would have to skate with only 1 scratch every night until playoffs I believe. Highly unlikely, but doable. Would rather see Bujstad and a middle-six RW instead.
