Usually I'd agree a year or two ago but since Barrie, Kane, Hyman and Nuges point production raises due to Edmontons high-end offensive system more and more players are open to the idea(Karlsson, Toews before the injury and more). The chance to win with the most talented player since Lemieux excites a lot of guys due to Edmonton actually being somewhat competitive nowadays

Yeah different players I guess. You'd expect a little more production out of Krug than Ekholm.

5v5 defensively he’s not great. As a puck mover and especially on the power play he’s high end.

I don’t really know why Edmonton would target another powerplay guy.

Can’t knock Krugs effort level, but he’s not physically capable of being a reliable defensive asset.

That being said, I don’t think there are many if any better PPQBs in the NHL
