ok throw him on the 3rd line he would perform a lot better, also you have to look at the team he plays on that is lowering his performance.

he wouldnt though. He'd just score even less and not be able to handle the defensive load of the third line. And those numbers are him being isolated from his team. He's bad

CHI laughs at you and hangs up. You just paid twice as much for a guy having a poor year, but Kerfoot ( cap dump) and a 1st TWO drafts away get you the player AND 5mil in retention? HAHAHAHA

he chooses where he goes if he only wants one place they can ask for whatever they want but they wont get it, kane is already upset he could have gone to NYR and the GM from CHI botched it, they might end up hanging on to him and he leaves for nothing.

Giroux did the same thing last year, used his NTC to insist on a one team trade list, but PHI retained less and got a better 1st, 3rd AND Tippett (who's on his way to 20+ goals on a team that cant score), so in what way does a cap dump in Kerfoot and a late round 1st do it.

I just dont think CHI trades such an important historical franchise player for that kind of return.

for that weak return they probably will, and then resign him on a sweetheart deal, because of the value theyve placed in him/with him

Maybe NYR didn't want to pay the price for Kane and settled for Tarasenko? The return for Kane (394 points last 5 years) will be different then Tarasenko (139 pts last 5 injury riddled years) before getting into trying to make a 10.5 million cap hit work verses 5.5. Kane was always going to be a close to the deadline move by virtue of his caphit....he counts 128K per game and just the remaining 4 games before the deadline account for 500K in cap.

And sorry....I don't buy the Rags and Laffs are the only destination Kane will accept. He is about to be a UFA and likely uprooting his family for a move this Summer. What is the difference to him to live out of a suitcase full time (instead of half the time) for a couple of months? Why would Kane not want a shot at another Cup if Vegas, Dallas, Colorado, NJ, or any of another half dozen playoff teams want to pay the price to add him to their lineup? Even coming up short of a Cup and having any productivity in the playoffs only enhances his UFA market.

what? It's in Kane's court. He's got a NMC. He's still not decided yet if he's willing to waive it, and word is he is going to name just one team. Kane is the one who botched it -- NYR didn't want to wait, but Kane and Brisson apparently do.
