I like Schmaltz, but considering Ehlers and Perfetti are already prone to injuries, I have some reservations. Maybe target Crouse instead. Also, ARI will probably want another piece and I doubt they retain for 4 years -- WPG doesn't need the retention anyway.

Yes to Schmaltz, he's really a guy that Chevy should be targeting, he has 3 more years on his contract and doesn't have trade protection yet.

Can't see Arizona retaining though, if that's all it takes to get him with or without retention I'd make that trade without hesitation.

Crouse doesn't play center though and with Dubois likely gone they're gonna need another top 6 center unless they plan on sucking for a few years, cant see Perfetti ever being a center in the NHL.
